Middle School Spelling Bee

The Middle School was abuzz yesterday as students in grades 6 through 8 took part in the Prep's annual spelling bee. After six intense rounds, eighth grader Tommy Ayers took home the title with the word "doppelgänger." Tommy will now have the opportunity to compete at the 37th Annual Daily Item Regional Spelling Bee in Lynn, Massachusetts this March. The winner of the regional bee will advance to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in June. Go, Tommy! The Prep has your back.
