1. 2021-2022 School Year

Phoenix, Arizona (In Ryken's Footsteps)

The group from St. John's traveled to Phoenix, Arizona during the February break, working with Network Volunteers, to minister to refugee families helping to set up new homes, and helping advocate for social justice initiatives in the area. Students also worked on local community projects, attend educational workshops related to immigration, and toured local art in the downtown Phoenix area.

“The Phoenix, Arizona service trip was amazing. It was great to be able to get back to doing service coming out of the pandemic. One of the focuses of the trip is the connection with migrants. Being in person, I was able to see, hear, and feel just a little bit of the life of migrants. You can never replace having an authentic connection and being in community with the people we serve.” Conor Beswick ‘22
