Medal of Honor Visit
What an honor to have an American hero visit St. John's! Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Army Major General (retired) Patrick Brady arrived by Massachusetts National Guard Blackhawk helicopter at Cronin Memorial Stadium today, where he was greeted by military, State Police and local police officers. He went on to speak to a respectful and captivated group of students in Alumni Hall. In the audience were seventh graders, as well as students taking Mr. Bill Britton's War and Peace in a Dangerous World class. "It is a privilege and an honor to welcome you to St. John's," Headmaster Hardiman said to General Brady, who won the Congressional Medal of Honor for his service as an ambulance helicopter pilot in Vietnam.
